KATE MAERSK ATTACK 01

The 339 thousand ton Danish registered oil tanker Kate Maersk is being towed though the Strait of Hormuz by three tugboats after it was attacked by an Iranian warship. Three of the Danish crew were seriously injured and the radio operator was killed when the ships bridge was hit by a missile. The ship was sailing from Saudi Arabia to the U.S with crud oil when it was attacked. Circa 13 Feb. 1988
