Iranians waiting at Dubai airport for news of their loved ones read a special edition of Gulf News. The Headline reads: 290 DIE AS IRAN AIR CRASHES INTO SEA. Iran Air 655 flying from Bandar Abbas in southern Iran to Dubai was shot down by the US warship USS Vincennes killing all 290 passengers and crew. Circa 03 July 1988
