On the second day of the cease-fire between Iran and Iraq a convoy of reflagged Kuwaiti tankers is escorted into the Gulf. A sailor on lookout for sea mines is at the bow of the USS Nicholas. The three tankers being escorted are Middleton, Sea Isle City and Gas Prince. Circa 21 Aug. 1988
